This is Your Halfway Through the Year Notice
JUNE, 23 2025
When you reflect on where you’ve been, reassess where you are, and redirect where you’re going, you don’t have to wait for external milestones or pushing forward by default. You can consciously choose your next steps.
You don’t need to wait for a new year to make a meaningful shift, now is the perfect time to pause, get honest, and choose a direction that aligns with your greatest potential
This is your halfway through the year notice.
Every year I use two natural moments to pause and reset: New Year’s Day and my birthday (which happens to have been last week, June 19). One is cultural. The other is personal. And together, they give me permission to reflect honestly, reassess where I am, and redirect if needed.
If you’ve been moving fast, reacting to the pace of life or business, or simply going through the motions, this is your invitation to stop. Breathe. And take stock.
Here’s what I do if you want to take part.
1. Reflect: What’s actually happened so far this year?
Look at what you said you’d do back in January.
What have you followed through on? What surprised you?
Where have you stretched yourself? Where have you played small?
“You can’t redirect if you don’t stop to reflect.”
2. Reassess: Is your current path still aligned with who you're becoming?
What goals still matter? Which ones don’t?
Are you proud of how you’re showing up?
Where are you feeling resistance—and what’s beneath it?
“Sometimes resistance isn’t a sign to push harder. It’s a sign to dig deeper.”
3. Redirect: What's the discomfort worth leaning into next?
Identify one area where you're ready, even if it’s scary.
Think of one bold move you can make in the next 30 days.
Commit to growth, not perfection.
“Mid-year is not a checkpoint for performance. It’s an invitation to recommit to who you are becoming, no matter what.”
I don’t know where you are in your year. But I do know this: it’s not too late. It’s not too far gone. You’re not behind. You’re right on time for a reset.
So here’s your halfway-through-the-year notice:
Stop. Reflect. Reassess. Redirect.
You don’t need a calendar to tell you it’s time to begin again. But if you do… let this be it.
Key Idea
You can’t redirect if you don’t stop to reflect. When you reflect on where you’ve been, reassess where you are, and redirect where you’re going, you don’t have to wait for external milestones or pushing forward by default. You can consciously choose your next steps.
Takeaway
You don’t need to wait for a new year to make a meaningful shift, now is the perfect time to pause, get honest, and choose a direction that aligns with your greatest potential
