The No Matter What’s That Keep Us Going

NOVEMBER 25, 2024

Some challenges will always be beyond our control. Regardless of the outcome, these values will help us find purpose, build resilience and experience joy even amidst pain and hardship – allowing us to honor what truly matters and grow in meaningful ways.

No matter what life throws at you, choose what serves you to focus on.

Last Monday, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to Maverick, my sister Haviland’s dog and our No Matter What mascot, who brought great joy to everyone who met him with his loving spirit, and goofy amiable personality.

His life was heartbreakingly short at just over 2 years old. The circumstances were literally out of our control as a shockingly unexpected diagnosis of stage four kidney disease was made just shy of 10 weeks before…

But you know what’s not out of our control?

Sharing the love we have for him. Remembering the joy that he brought. Connecting with the gratitude of the time that we had.

The hard reality for all of us is that there are hard truths and unavoidable challenges that force us to let go of what we hoped for. Regardless of how much we want, how hard we try, how smart we approach, it doesn’t always work out.

And we can still embody and share love amidst loss.

Gratitude amidst failure.

Connection amidst hardship.

Personal growth amidst trials and tribulations

Peace amidst pain.

We always have access to these things – the most important things – No Matter What.

Key Idea

We can always choose love, gratitude, connection and peace – No Matter What. Some challenges will always be beyond our control. Regardless of the outcome, these values will help us find purpose, build resilience and experience joy even amidst pain and hardship – allowing us to honor what truly matters and grow in meaningful ways.

Takeaway

No matter what life throws at you, choose what serves you to focus on.

Build your Movement

How do you typically respond to hardship? How might you shift what you focus on to better serve you?
