We're Taking the Summer Off. Here's Why.
JULY 7, 2025
We’re taking a blog break this summer to recalibrate—not just to reflect on our purpose and values, but to reanimate them. These aren’t words we want to say louder. They’re commitments we want to live deeper.
Don’t wait for burnout to reflect.
Let’s be honest: words like purpose, values, and mission have been so overused they’ve become corporate wallpaper. You hear them, nod, and forget what they even mean. Which is exactly why we’re taking the summer off from sharing these blogs.
Not because I don’t have anything to say. But because we have something important to reflect on and remember.
This summer season, we’re pausing, not to escape, but to reconnect. To get quiet. To listen more deeply. To strip back the layers of performance, productivity, and posturing… and get face-to-face with the parts that actually matter.
We don’t need new values. We need to live the ones we already claim.
But here’s the thing: saying you value something isn’t the same as living it. That’s where most teams (and people) get stuck. They conflate core values with the application of values.
Let’s draw the line:
Core values are constant. They’re the bedrock. Like: “Courage.” “Service.” “Truth.”
Application is how those show up in real life. Courage might look like taking a risk. Or walking away. Or telling someone something they won’t like but need to hear.
The application evolves.
And it should.
That’s where growth lives.
But the core? It’s the compass.
And if you don’t check it once in a while, you drift. Every time.
So we’re not creating new content right now.
We’re creating new alignment.
Our team is gathering. Asking harder questions. Listening longer. Checking: are we walking what we talk? Are the choices we make, the partners we work with, the clients we serve, the adventures we build, reflecting the soul of this No Matter What Movement? Or are we just running fast in the direction of "busy"?
Breakthrough isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we have to keep becoming. And I invite you to join me in reflecting this summer, reconnecting and adjusting as needed.
I’m just a DM away if you need support.
See you in the fall, sharper, deeper, and more aligned than ever. Let’s keep the Movement going.
Key Idea
We’re taking a blog break this summer to recalibrate—not just to reflect on our purpose and values, but to reanimate them. These aren’t words we want to say louder. They’re commitments we want to live deeper.
Takeaway
Don’t wait for burnout to reflect. Build time into your rhythm to question: are you walking your talk or just repeating the words?

Where has your execution drifted from your values—and what would it look like to realign?
