Most companies, organizations and people expect (or maybe better said accept), linear, incremental growth. It’s a function of looking into the past (what happened last week, last month, last year) and seeing what there is to fix, adjust or change. The best possible thing we end up with from that is a slightly better version of what we already have. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that. We need to do it as businesses (and people), but it’s simply not all there is.
